The Famous Five. It's been an adventurous week! Most definitely!! 59 Park Street sure needs a LOT of patching up! The poor house is going thru' so much. Thank goodness the Famous Five! Read on if you're interested in what the boys have been up to! Heh!! =O)
Well the weekend began pretty well one Friday morning, and of course, Josh and myself decided that we needed to change the washing machine. Basically the whole operation didn't quite work out, and the living room was in a terrible state. Read Yanxuan's blog for more details.
You get the idea yah? On top of that, we spent a night breaking cupboards! It was like some kungfu show with 5 stoopid boys starring in it. We used the cupboard to change the curtains, courtesy of Yanxuan for help, and after, we took the hammers and destroyed the furniture. Good fun!! Even Henry had a good time cleaning up the pieces! =O)

It was Jon's 22nd too! So we celebrated his birthday - as usual, drinks drinks and more drinks! And clubbing after! Haha! A few of us managed to escape this round, was waiting for the rest to come and they took so long, so went to grab a bite first. By the time we finished eating, we weren't in the mood to club anymore.

Myself, Susian, Jess The Birthday Boy The Famous Five decided to put "Blue Steel" photos of ourselves in the living room. Great idea don't you think? Haha! Then we'll autograph it too! =O) Stay tune for the shots!

Blue Steel
We kinda did a nice birthday thing for Jon last night. Surprised him by ordering pizza back, and got him a cake from our trusted Sains. Yum yum!! It's really nice don't you think?

Anyways, it's gonna be really hectic this week. Tutorials have started! Spent the day in the library trying to get my work done. And JT Trio's trying to get a demo CD out, so that we can get a regular gig somewhere in Bristol. So recording's over the week as well. Guys and Dolls' rehearsals have begun, so that's Wed and Thur night gone!
Well I'm enjoying it! So won't complain!!

Drinking Is Bad For Health. I'm so happy to be home today. It's been a rush since the start of the week, really glad that things are more or less settling nicely.

Mamak Fiesta was a tremendous success! Many thanks to the committee for all their hard work! And especially to Minn, for organising it. Special mention to the Freshers for helping out with the serving! And to PEAR, for being so nice! =O)

The Warden was very supportive, giving us a very warm welcome to the new academic year ahead.
It is in times like this that I realise that I find my greatest joy in serving others. It may sound strange, but true! Doing things for myself is easy, and I suppose the satisfaction wears off almost after. But serving others, is different. Spending time with others, investing time and energy, makes life a little more meaningful. Don't you think?
On a lighter note, I've been drinking quite a bit these days! Don't know why also!! I'll let the photos do the talking. =O)

Just before heading down to Evolution.

From top left to right : Myself, Tsehao, Jon, Jianli. Xunyu - "two shot" girl. Freshers - Tsehao, myself, Xunyu, Suling. Angelica, myself, Joanne.
And of course, the friend who drinks with me all the time.

London. i'm totally knocked out after two days of intensive auditions. The standard is really high I must say! Very very impressed by the quality of the auditions. But like any other, we had to disappoint 50 over, calling back 30 more second round auditions. We would only need 20 eventually. Now that the standard has been set, I really need to work hard and brush up the piano part! =O)
Anyways, the weekend came and went - but it was good. I wasn't really busy all that much, and had plenty of time to plan the term ahead, so that worked out well! Met up with Shyan in the afternoon for ice-cream, caught a show with my daddy after. Spent the greater part of Sunday hanging out with my daddy, Had to brainstorm on how to bring a dozen Krispy Kremes back home for my sister!

Shyan and I outside Covent Garden.
Thanks to Lynne for housing me for the night! And her room is pretty nice! It's nice Lynne!! =O) It was nice catching up with old friends!! We caught a movie together - Kinky Boots. It's not bad lahh, should catch it if you have time!

Lynne's Room
So, Guys and Dolls would be showing from the 25th-28th of Jan. For those in London, come down to Bristol yah? Plenty of room to house you all! *hint hint* So there, a good reason to travel! =O)

Finally the rehearsals' starting! That should be fun! The show's gonna be at the end of Jan, so I've got plenty of time to learn the score. Will be playing the keys. Yeah for those who are intending to travel this year, do drop by then to visit yah? =O)

Part 2 of 59 Park Street. So it's been a week since I've moved back to Bristol. It's been a good time I must say! Fixing up the house has truly been interesting and most tiring! But alas, the bar is completed. And it looks really good! Things are defintely shaping up now. Hang in there, more photos of the house once it's all done!
But for now, here are the photos of my room, still a bit more packing to do, but thought I'll go ahead with snapping some shots first! Do let me know what you think yah? =O)

Here we go! The first thing that you see when you enter my room. Bought a little nice notice board to write stuff on, and draped a rug over the old-looking wooden cupboards.

Packed the shelves with my nice colourful files. Also, my usual bottle of Port and the glasses. =O) And the lovely calendar that Wendy made for me just before I entered the Army.

The Musicshen's Console. My corner where recordings will take place. There you see my Radium 49 and all the other equipment. Fu's in the house now! So more music and probably a new addition to City Dolls.

My work area. Shifted the tables so that I could study with the light coming in. Hooked up my speakers around the table as well.

The Bed. Fully furnished by Ikea. Bought some nice cushions to go with it. The bed is HUGE! Haven't decided what I'll do with all that extra space!

The Walk-In Wardrobe. Am very happy with it! Still hanging on to Josh's stuff, not everything on that rack belongs to me! But it adds a nice effect to the whole room don't you think? =O)

Decided to go ahead with the Black and White theme. From top to bottom:
Overtones 2000,
Oneliner 2003,
JT Trio 2004

One of my favourite set of pictures. Took this with Wendy at the Lourve in Paris. Nice nice nice!!

The only problem I have now is, I don't have a shoe rack! So got no place to put my shoes. As it is, I've kept my running and formal shoes in the walk-in wardrobe area.
Anyways that's all for now! Will try to update on a more frequent basis. It's gonna get busy next week onwards once all the MSSA stuff sets in.
