Happenings To Date. So MSSA was handed over to the next committee exactly two weeks back, and it's really great knowing that the present committee can finally take a well-deserved break after all their hardwork!!
(Sorry Jon, I just had to open the paragraph with "SO" - you know why!) AGM wasn't all that bad altogether. I think the meeting that we had that ran into the wee hours helped a lot, and the committee guys were ready to handle ANY sort of questions. Of course it
DID help that half of us were lawyers(-to-be). =O)

Once again, a huge round of applause to MSSA 05/06!!! *clap clap clap!!!*
I'm particularly happy cos' I managed to get the DCD to Wendy!! And that with the help of Seng Giap, Angie and Amanda. SPECIAL SPECIAL MENTION to Amanda and Angie. They were simply fantastic!!! In a nutshell, they managed to take Wendy's car keys and slotted the present into the spare tyre compartment of the car boot. How powerful is that?!?!?! So all I had to do were to lead Wendy to the car and open the boot. She thought it was magic!!!! YAY!!! *applause!!!*
Thanks to Angie and Amanda who sacrificed their time and effort to help me!! Owe you gals big time!! Anyways couldn't find a picture of Amanda with Wendy and I, so here's one with Angie!!

Things are going pretty well now, taking a break and heading to Lithuania early tuesday morning. Will be traveling for the next 8 days and then settle down in London for a couple days after. Trying to catch Billy Elliot with Hsia Ling when she's over!
Summer plans are still being finalised. Wendy may come over, depending on schedules. If not, I should be home pretty early! Spoke to Mark and there's a good chance that One Liner would be up doing gigs again! The Tagalog Stallion
should be back too right? And Jo would be old enough to play!! HEH!!!

Will be doing 6 weeks in Shanghai to improve my chinese as well!! That could potentially be very challenging, but it's worth the shot lahh! Doing 2 weeks with Wong Partnership too! Should be chilling for the remainder of the time back home. Of course Overtones would all be in Singapore over Summer, so that means plenty of recordings coming up!! Crazy Four's gonna be back too, so that means ENDLESS sleepless nights!

The Foe's Trademark is FEAR. It was another "Believe It Or Not" sunday at church where every third week of the month, they sorta change the settings of the church to suit non-Christians to come. The topic for this week was "I believe in angels and demons". I must say that the message was life-changing for me. I think as christians, we struggle to be as Christ-like as we can, and we do so because we love the Lord. But yet it is so hard, simply because we are human beings and NO LESS susceptible to sin and temptation then any other.
The speaker made a very interesting point. We all go thru' spiritual battles and whilst we struggle on earth, there is a BIGGER and FIERCER battle going up in heaven between God's angels and Satan's demons. And sometimes when we, as mere human beings, try to fight a spiritual battle with human efforts, we fail, and we fail terribly.
Thank God for showing me that Satan's greatest weapon is FEAR and I finally realise why I've been failing - I have been falling for his trap! I'm gonna try even harder to be the person that God wants me to be, because He is all I live for.
A good friend of mine wrote in his blog recently, something that I'll like to share with you all. Perhaps it'll give you a greater insight as to what and who Christians really are.
"Christians aren't some sort of naive simplistic people who just live in a fairy land where we are oblivious to the hurt that we go thru. I think the christian faith is just as grounded in the struggles as everyone in this world goes thru. We have the same urges to divorce, get angry, murder our young, fornicate with minors (hypothetically) and all of these carnal desires that dare i say which should be beneath us. But we are humans, with equal struggles, the fundamental difference is salvation. We are not better, and neither are we worse.
The difference however, is holiness, righteousness, gifts from accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour. Such attributes seperate us from the sin which this world has to offer, and we are no longer a part of it. Physically we are still on this plane, but in a different aspect of our lives, our spiritual salvation is secure and no one can take it away from us.
This spiritual health affects and influences our emotion, mental and physical well-being. It allows us to see things in a different way, perhaps hope in a higher power, and not just hope, but victory in a God above all other gods, the one true creator of this universe and beyond."

Barcelona Here I Come!
Just a point to note about Barcelona (And I hope that all those who have been there would agree with me on this) :-
1. The scenery is fantastic! I'll let the pictures do the talking. =)
2. Shopping (FOR GUYS) suck BIG time. Girls please go ahead cos' if EVERYTHING closed, MANGO OUTLET would still be opened. Very very strange.
It was an excellent retreat. The past month had been crazy and it was one of the things that was keeping me going. Had just handed in my coursework and MSSA's drawing to a close. All in all, it was good timing that Barcelona came! So here it is!

Okay I think I just had about enough people telling me that I'm crazy wearing berms in the heart of winter. Heyy but you can't fault me for wearing berms that day! We
WERE going to Sunny Barcelona (well relatively sunny compared to the dreary Bristol weather), how was I to know that it was going to snow at the airport?!?

We spent the greater part of the first day traveling, so when we touched down, we took it nice and easy. =) Had fantastic TAPAS!! We walked the streets to check out the shops, it wasn't that great (of course we were still under the mistakened belief that good shops existed in Barcelona. Oh yes, when I mean "WE", I mean Jon and I. The girls had already begun emptying their wallets)
Day TwoStarted the morning nice and early and headed to La Rambla to check out the Fruit Markets. Realised that the streets are really nice. It's broad and relatively uncluttered, so it was pretty pleasant walking without having to bum into people and all. Heyy check out the market, it's SO cute:- I mean the stall owners, they are dress up just to add a humourous touch to business! =)

Check out the funky hair and the power green walkie talkies!!

Lord Lee, Lord Chancellor Suz, Lord Lin and Court Jester. We're missing the Court Janitor!!!!
Did the whole HOP-ON HOP-OFF thing after that. Spent a good half an hour waiting in the WRONG queue to board the bus. SIGH. Sat on the upper deck of the bus and it's really really beautiful. Here are some pictures!

From top left to right A gaudi work of art, Park Guell, the Unfinished Church, Port of Barcelona Caught the Flamenco at night. It was hilarious!! And I'm not sure whether it was because Jon ABSOLUTELY HATED it, or it was some semi-professional act where the sound weren't balanced properly, so that the stomping off the dancers' feet were WAY louder than all the instruments combined. It could also be because of our position.

Lord Chancellor and Court Janitor wants to go for some ballet thing in Lithuania BUT I think Lord Lee might violently object. I must say that he does have a case this time! Haha! Poor Jonny boy!
Day Three The last day was simply disastrous for me. Fell really ill and just wasn't in the mood to do anything. The girls went out to do their shopping whilst Jon and I desperately tried to find the mall that everything was talking about. But when we got there - SIGH, shopping was pathetic. Seriously pathetic. It was expensive and the range was limited. We couldn't believe it!! Of course it didn't help that I kept running to the toilet, and my tummy was giving me SO much pain! ARGH!
Headed back to the hotel to rest after, and the girls RVed us back for our nice dinner (again, I couldn't quite enjoy it cos' of my tummy). It was really nice having dinner by the harbour. =)
One of those random photos of Lord Lin and Lord Chancellor Well we headed back to the hotel after to play poker. We taught the Lord Chancellor how to play!! And of course Jon came up with the fantastic idea of using paper clips as chips. How ingenious! Wait till you hear the previous ideas like sweets, until he realised that he and the Court Jester were prone to munching them instead of
using them.
Don't ask me why. Day Four I think I felt a little better. Had some time before heading to the airport to catch our flight back to Bristol. Took a nice stroll down to the port and got some nice photos! YAY! But here's a BEAUTIFUL one of the four of us. =)

Very Late Valentines' Day Post. Okay this post is WAY overdue, but I just got the photos!! So anyways dinner comprised of individuals who were either single or had their other halves in Singapore and London. But nevertheless, Valentines' Day is about friendship right?
Decided to try a new recipe this time, so did some shopping in the afternoon for the ingredients. And spent the later part of it roasting the lamb. =) Take a look!!

Haha made a mistake here which led to some dire consequences. Served cheese and wine
BEFORE the main course. Well I did it cos' I thought that I didn't have a lot of food, so better fill the tummy with something first! Anyways we had goat cheese, french brie and the traditional cheddar cheese coupled with a nice bottle of red Penfolds.

The main course was lamb with dried apricots in lemon sauce. We had baby carrots and beans on the side, with some salad with italian dressing. Okay it sounds/ looks better than it really is - the lamb was tougher than I would like it to be. The rest of them were SO nice, and finished every bit of it! Only I left some of the lamb behind cos' it was not fantastic. Such great friends huh!

There was Xun's cousin who stopped by Bristol to visit as well, and so joined us for dinner as well! =) All in all, it was fun!!!
Hey Wendy, I promise I'll cook for you when I'm back!!!! PROMISE!!!
